IELTS

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.

IELTS is adminstered by University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES), British Council and IDP Education Australia.

The IELTS test is a paper-based test. Maximum of 1 test can be given within 3 months at any Center.

DURATION: The test is for 2 hours & 45 minutes.

SCORE : Total score is out of 9 Bands.Scoring is between 0-9.

ACADEMIC TRAINING:
• Listening(40 questions)-30 minutes.
• Reading(40 questions)-60 minutes.
• Writing(2 essays)-60 minutes.
• Speaking-10 to 15 minutes.

GENERAL TRAINING:
• Listening(40 questions)-30 minutes.
• Reading(40 questions)-60 minutes.
• Writing(2 essays)-60 minutes.
• Speaking-10 to 15 minutes.

WRITING:
• 1st essay (150 words) 20 minutes.
• 2nd essay (250 words) 40 minutes.

TOEFL

TOEFL stands for TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. It is an internationally accepted standard of academic English proficiency, and a TOEFL score is required as an admissions criterion by more than 6000 colleges and universities worldwide.

VALIDITY : The score is valid for 2 years.

The score is sent to 4 universities by ETS free of cost at the time of exam. ETS charges additionally for scores sent to universities later.

The TOEFL test is a computer adaptive test (CAT) in India. Only of 1 test can be given in a calender month.

Total score is out of 300 (Computer Based). If the test is taken more than once, all the scores and the dates are sent to the universities. Scores can be cancelled before coming out of the test.

GMAT

GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test required for admission into a MBA program.

The score is generally valid for 5 years. The GMAT test is a computer adaptive test (CAT).

The score is sent to 5 universities by ETS free of cost at the time of exam. ETS charges additionally for scores sent to universities later.

Only 1 test can be given in a calender month and no more than 5 times in a year.

Total score is out of 800 (Quantitative & Verbal) and Analytical Writing Assessment (Essays) is scaled from 0 - 6. All the scores and dates are sent to the universities if the test is taken more than once. Scores can be cancelled before coming out of the test.

A high score will increase the chances of admission in top Business Schools. Visa Officers also give weightage to high GMAT scores while considering Visa applications. Chances of getting Scholarships / Financial Aid are bright with a high GMAT score.

GRE

GRE stands for Graduate Record Examinations. GRE measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking and analytical writing skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. The GRE® Subject Tests gauge undergraduate achievement in 8 specific fields of study and is required for candidates seeking admision in a Masters Degree program in fields other than managment. Most Universities require GRE for PhD. programs
